A recent article that I used in my new book says that a very small
fraction of musicians get any royalties at all.  It is a winner take all
world.

If, however, I had oral sex with the president and then penned my memoirs,
I would have made a bundle.  Fortunately, my real life is terribly boring
-- or it would be to anybody else.
