Gore Vidal on the US election

On literary and similar stuff I think he's one of
the best essayists breathing.  I read Myra Breckenridge
a long time ago and liked it.

In politics I think it's fair to say he doesn't know
many little things, but he does know one big thing--
the fundamental proneness of our political system
to cater to elite, moneyed interests.
