Richard Pells, "Radical Visions and American Dreams." "The Hungry Years: A Narrative History of the Great Depression in America, " by T. H. Watkins. Irving Bernstein volume with same title I think. "Voices of Protest: Huey Long, Father Coughlin, and the Great Depression, " by Alan Brinkley. "Radio Priest, " on Coughlin by Donald Warren, who has done interesting work on "Middle American Radicals" Michael Pugliese P.S.
