fucking christ. i know i've jumped in and not thought things thru, but brett! it's a *storable* surplus. like grain! that has to be protected, with armed guards. at first from enemies. get it! just because you can catch all you want doesn't mean you can keep it. and salting it might make it last quite some time, but certainly not as long as things like grain and legumes! or livestock.
