I'm a great fan of the Buzzcocks. Orgasm addict was a ripper. That said, exactly which aspect of the onanistic impulse is is that spawns our relational endeavours?

I ask because it occurs to me that we (as a culture) should be a little careful in importing this 'Freudian' stuff into our time and place. No surprise to me that a 19th century boy-toff from Vienna might consider sex as he does - do we, though? Aren't our metaphors becoming mixed up with our descriptions here? Or am I in denial?
