Agreed. Though I no longer live in NYC, I nevertheless feel for those left
behind.

Actually, when it looked like Messinger and Rev. Al were going to go to a
run-off in the last election, I urged all my friends to vote for Sharpton so
that he would be the Dem nominee. After all, there was no way Messinger was
going to beat Rudy; and with Sharpton the Dems would be utterly embarrassed,
plus there would be the entertaining televised debates between Rudy and the
Rev. Ah, man, that would have been nice. Sadly, the run-off never happened,
and Saint Ruth fell quietly to Giuliani Time.
