The bit about the majority being a threat to a minority is an old
observation. But aside from the risk to civil rights, doesn't the left in
general like the idea of majority rule? When people complain about big
corporate money influencing elections, aren't they basically wishing the
majority was freer of the propaganda of the wealthy?
