There are no theological references of any sort posted in any courtroom in the federal courthouse in Chicago, where I work. There is the court seal, the eagle with shield, and a US flag, and that's it. Btw, when I clerked upstairs on the 7th Cir., we had a case where a party was arguing that the state court that convicted him didn't have jurisdiction because he had a flag with a fringe and an eagle on top. The judge was puzzled, and I had to explain to him about these Common Law types.
