In one of his books Stephen Jay Gould has some marvellous examples of meaningless correspondences -- which is what she (and a large proportion of similar nuts) seems to rely on for her 'evidence.'
At one time Colonel McCormick ordered all Chicago Tribune reporters to connect big events to sun spots. There is a funny story that I don't remember about a reporter embarassing himself by following that directive just at the time the good Colonel changed the line.
