There is a Catholic Worker "hospitality house" (Bethlehem Peace Farm, outside
of town, actually) here in Centralia, Wa (site of the historic centralia
massacre), run by a small goup of 20-somethings. They house "guests"
(unemployed/homeless) and run the house on non-hierarchical principles (which
I'm given to understand takes up quite a bit of their time). None has a
functioning car (though some of the guests do), so they bicycle into town -
about 10-15 miles 1 way. Very politically active, very sharp, very affable
group of young people...
