Frederick Wiseman did "Titicut Follies", "Welfare", as well as "Near Death" and "High School". Word is that "High School" will appear as a "P.O.V" presentation this summer on PBS. Wiseman on the difference between ideology and practice at the Philadelphia high school in 1968 featured in his film: "The ideology was openness, trust, understanding, sharing,etc., and the practice was authoritarian: Obey orders, you know, the way to be a man."
