You're not freaking kidding .....
I have occasionally advanced the proposition that after talking to any person for the space of three minutes, you can always be sure of four facts about them:
1) They do not come from New York City, or Manchester 2) They own a television 3) They have no Irish ancestry 4) They do not like jazz
simply from the fact that people who have the contrary properties feel compelled to mention the fact.
