But I can't help but be astounded by the willful, thickheaded stupidity of some of the HIV deniers. We have witnessed a major decline in AIDS mortality, and a major improvement in the quality of life, among those in the US and Europe with access to the anti-HIV 'cocktails.' Now this is sure as hell the biggest, counter-intuitive and counter-logical coincidence that ever hit medical science if HIV is not the cause of AIDS, and if anti-HIV drugs do not help, at least for a time, abate the progress of the disease. But, the HIV deniers ignore it all, blithely going on about now the anti-HIV drugs are the cause of AIDS. It just blows the mind.
