Fascism? The U.S. has a long long history of repressing labor. In the late 19th and early 20th century, only Czarist Russia killed more striking workers than the U.S. We don't even need fascism here.

(((((((((((

CB: Well, I pushed the button in a huff, for ,this case against Carey started before Bush and its a New York grand jury, and don't know that Bush has replaced the Clinton N.Y. U.S. attorney and all that, but don't you think Jim Crow was fascism ? The U.S. had fascism before Italy did.

But fascism, as in all places, is intermittent, not continuous. It is bourgeois democratic republics punctuated with open terrorist or repressive rule that is the preferred bourgeois approach, don't you think ?

So, the thing here is to be on the lookout for the intermittent whiffs. Where there's smoke , there's fire. We keep it intermittent by sounding the alarm and fighting back.
