Capitalism. It's a perfectly good word. A central goal of the left is to make it carry for masses of people the content it carries in Marx's _Capital_. A search for synonyms for nasty to replace "capitalism" merely contributes to bourgeois illusions.

Why do you need merely emotive terms (shades of the logical positives) when what is needed is sober descriptions of the inherent destructiveness of a social order.
