by 'experience' i simply meant the migration from north to south to which you referred, implying they were as much (or, in your version, more) newcomers to "modern South Africa" as the Boer.

Sorry, but I said not a durn thing about the "experience" of the black or white inhabitants of South Africa at any point. All I commented on was their status according to the rather ridiculous criterion of having or not having ancestors who had tilled the same patch of land for a sufficient number of generations. That was rather the whole point.
