oh. but see, i don't feel like this at all. i don't feel one thing or another for sullivan. and i honestly can't imagine that he's suffering.
i didn't weigh in until i was disgusted with weiner claims about how hypocrisy isn't an issue worthy of noting. i agree with doug here: it's a good thing to learn about the double edged nature of the phenom. that sullivan stands for. it's, for me, a way to point out broader issues and problems with his political position and, like it or not, sullivan's desire for barebacking and his legitimation of it is extremely political in a variety of ways.

ok, we differ. i happen to think that the glorification of penetration sex as the only "real" sex is part and parcel of sexism. and i happen to think that his attitudes about what a burden sex is when you have to use protection a good place to point that out.
