Damn, that was a good read of something I can indulge in too much, conspiranoia, Wotjek!
June 18th, The Nation (btw, last night I saw a long profile of Katrina vanden Heuval, the editor on the UPI website), from Alex Cockburn, "Back in my days at the Village Voice I wrote a parody of conspiracy mongering and awoke to hear it being read out as serious news on WBAI by Samori Marksman..." And Samori was a great journalist. He would have never tolerated Ms. Leid and the hawking of the book by conspiracy theorist, Jim Marrs (Rule by Secrecy: The Hidden History That Connects the Trilateral Commission, the Freemasons, and the Great Pyramids, 162 reviews on google...) , as a on-air fundraising giveaway for the 60 buckeroos.
And the ref to Afrocentrism in that hoax, was a dead giveaway. As far as I know, the term wasn't in use widely until Molefi Asante, no? Michael Pugliese, my Grandad was a Mason. Does that make me part of the Conspiracy!? http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q=Freemasons%20Illuminati
