And why not? Almost all labor unions, 90% of African-Americans, and large chunks of other working class groups support the Democrats. Since the US does not have a proportional vote system similar to Weimar, it is hard to exactly compare relationships, but why is a comparison between a party (the SDP) which made coalition with bourgois forces in governing coalitions any different from working class forces in the US making coalition with bourgois forces through the Democratic Party?

Frankly, if you compare the actual governing policies of the Democrats compared to those enacted by Weimar SDP when in power, the Dems today promote more radical policies.
