New Politics, Summer 2001, carries a symposium: "The Nader Campaign and the Future of Independent Politics," organized by Joanne Landy. The papers making up the symposium <<http://www.wpunj.edu/~newpol/issue31/cont31.htm>www.wpunj.edu/~newpol/issue31/cont31.htm> were originally presented at the Socialist Scholars Conference, New York City, April 2001. They are: Thomas Harrison, "The Democrats: No Way to fight the Right"; Jesse Lemisch, "Nader vs. the Big Rock Candy Mountain"; Ellen Willis, "The Democrats and Left Masochism"; Howie Hawkins, "Blame the Democrats, not the Greens." All participants supported Nader in 2000, but most are critical in various ways. Hawkins makes the case for the Greens.

All the papers are available at the New Politics website (see above), as is other information about the magazine.
