Defining Fascism

I guess I'm influenced by Popper. I see fascism as the imposition of tribalism on a modern society. It doesn't fit, and the tribalism is mythic.

The word is too vague, too many contradictory definitions, too much a curse word to be useful. Maybe we could be careful and avoid the word except as a curse word?

There are a whole bunch of words I refuse to use, like "paradigm" (unless in reference to a grammatical model) and fascist, except when spitting mad.

Naah, I guess I'm asking too much.

Your paradigms won't buy the Times

My paradigms will ring your chimes.

Cha cha cha, baby. I gotta think of a jingle for "fascist" now.
