Kapp's two vol. bio is excellent, if very revential and ultra-orthodox. But 
it is a scholarly labor of love, and a  very fine piece of work. One does 
have to take with a grain or ton of salt Kapp's assumption that Engels was 
neverw rong about anything. --jks
