No kidding. My biggest suprise in my job as a juducial law clerk, receiving hundreds of briefs in the federal district and appeals courts for judges, is how awful most lawyers are. Big firm lawyer _are_ better, as a rule, and some of them are very good. However, billable hours encourages padding and discourages efficiency. Why should someone like me who can work very fast and accurately work fast if that means that I will just get more work piled on me for the same (addittedkly exhorbitant) salary? --jks _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
