DINAN, France (Reuters) - James Kopp, wanted in the United States in the murder of an abortion
doctor, will not be extradited by France if U.S. courts seek the death penalty against him, a French
public prosecutor said on Friday.
A question to the legal experts on this list: is it possible that the US promises not to seek DP if the louse is tried under federal law, but then the state (NY) tries him under the state law and seeks DP? States are not bound by federal guarantees and vice versa, no?
