Thanks much, Catherine,

Sounds like the rest of the world should follow the example from down under. Maybe we could get a worldwide stockexchange protest day.

Hello Charles, Yes on May 1 in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth. There was quite a lot of coverage prior to the event, and in some cities the turnout was quite good for Australian protests -- in Melb and Syd especially.

However, I think there was a definite shift back from S11 (where there quite a lot of groups involved) towards the more usual DSP/resistance- driven collection. Mind you that's Adelaide, and Adelaide is, well, Adelaide (not that that means anything to you, but it should to Rob). However, in coverage of Melb and Syd the names/affiliations seemed very familiar. I'd be interested if anyone knows otherwise, actually.

Still good to have some focus on appropriate targets, of course. And interesting to see how much media attention it got compared to preS11 protests with comparable size and focus.
