Carrol has already said that this meeting was "business as usual" and there was no reason to speculate about it.

That ObL was a CIA operative is a fact. That he is not one now remains to be proven. It's also a fact that this is not the first time the CIA had a chance to arrest or kill him. Sudan wanted to hand him over in 1996, the CIA refused.

What you can't conclude, however, is that they are collaborating, or Larry Mitchell's working for Qaeda. The CIA may still be hoping to turn him around, or ObL may have something on them that makes him untouchable, it could be a million things.

You have to stick to what you know.
