That's the _Weekly World News_ you're thinking of. The _National Inquirer_ has degenerated into a tepid imitation of _People_ for those who must have the frisson of being louche in order to stomach reading nonsense about non-enities.

I think a thousand newspapers that all display different viewpoints are better than a thousand newspapers that basically display the same viewpoint, which is what you have in the US, yes.
Nobody in Russia believes the news, anyway. :)
