<...> Another major step towards better surveillance and target identification by USA today was the launching of a special Satellite by US air force.

This satellite names KH-11 or known as 'Keyhole' does imaging in inches from 200 miles above in the skies.

The satellite will be able to pick up any movements on the ground picking up even small groups of people moving and also able to pick up all sorts of telecommunication in the target area.

This satellite is likely to play a major role in directing US and allied forces.

Meanwhile some of the sources claimed that US airforce planes had already completed sorties within Pakistan airspace and on Saturday flights over Kabul by two planes further lend credence to the claim that US air force had started to prepare itself for an attack.

U.S. Launches Powerful Spy Satellite

October 6, 2001 -- On Saturday, a Titan IV rocket, with a mysterious payload, was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, in California. Not much information is available about what exactly was in the rocket, but it has been verified that the rocket was launched by the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The NRO is a secretive branch of the U.S. Department of Defense, and specializes in providing information for the CIA and the National Security Agency. The NRO specializes in taking pictures and capturing electronic data from the ground via satellites. It is likely that the payload of the Titan IV rocket was a KH-11 spy satellite. This is a satellite, that once in orbit, has the capacity to track individual movements on the ground. The KH-11 satellite oribts geosynchronously, and can track vehicle movements, monitor conversations and spot individual campfires at night using infrared technology. A KH-11 satellite has a lifespan of approximately 2 to 3 years. http://www.blackmoose.com/oct6.htm
