no one says anyone has to , just that the idea shouldn't be rejected out of hand. it's worked successfully here in the cultural tundra thank you very much. the knee jerk rejection of it and the posturing more leftist than thou crap was what caused the controversy.

furthermore, you wrapped yourself in the bill of rights. no different than wrapping yourself in a flag and it is pandering in the same way. the flag stands for the US bill of rights, no?
