I'd like to hear more on your theory about the culture war we may or may not be enduring at the moment. Or at least flesh out your theory on the Gulf War culture war.

Seems to me the allies' goal in the immediate future is to knock out the Taliban and set up a new government under UN auspices on the model of Kosovo and East Timor. Pre-911, I would have been surprised to learn that the Republican House would vote to pay our UN back dues and that Sharon and Bush would talk of a Palestinian state.
