Note to the "ladder of force left"

Well, yeah, I pretty much think the U.S. has no right to exist as a state.

I guess I'm trying to be pragmatic with my comments, since the U.S. state isn't going to disappear this year. I can still hope for that outcome, since stranger things have happened this year. ;-)

The Left, braodly defined, is still figuring out how to respond to this war. I'm extremely disappointed with talk show Leftists like Hitchens, who has been taking cheap shots at other Leftists (unless his anti-Chomsky campaign is a Machiaveliian attempt to get Chomsky more publicity). I think the Left has to stand up and pursue its agenda, even if that leads to some unpopular stands.
