A good number of moms & dads, some of whom singles, are involved in our anti-war coalition, & they sometimes bring their kids to flyering, tabling, vigils, etc. It's one thing you have a newborn on your hands without any support from others. It's another thing when your kid is, say, ten years old. At a certain point (depending on the maturity of each kid), kids become your helpers (rather than always needing your help), both in your domestic & activist work.
