Over the past several months, the approval queue for ftaa-l has been brimming with a broad range of important posts about resistance to globalization as we know it. The moderators of the list have tried to keep posts approved to ftaa-l topical -- that is to say, focused on the FTAA and the campaigns to derail it.
However, we have grown increasingly conscious of the potential usefulness of a list with as great a capacity for dissemination as ftaa-l and with a broader focus. Thus, we are announcing the creation of global-l, a new list for announcements, action alerts and analysis about resistance to capitalist globalization and imperialism. global-l is not intended to replace, but to complement ftaa-l, which will continue to be focused on organized opposition to the FTAA.
Below you will find a full description of global-l, as well as subscription information. We invite you all to subscribe and to begin posting announcements and analysis the list...

******please forward and post widely******
global-l is an international e-mail list about resistance to capitalist globalization and to global capitalism.
The list is intended to provide a forum in which to share analysis, announcements, news, opinion articles, organizing and protest info, direct action reports, and hard-to-find corporate or government insider information, related to globalization issues.
global-l is for activists, researchers, organizers, writers, independent journalists, and individuals, anywhere in the world, who approach issues of globalization critically. It is also intended as a resource for grassroots mobilization efforts against the institutions and agreements that structure and propel globalization premised on imperialism and exploitation, and against capitalism more generally.
While the list is unabashedly anti-corporate, anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist in tone, it is open to a broad range of progressive and radical perspectives.
Please bear in mind that global-l is NOT a discussion list, but rather an information resource; as such, it is moderated.
