Prof. John Quigley

"Legal and Political Contexts of the Afghanistan War"

Professor John Quigley teaches international law at the Ohio State University College of Law. Prof. Quigley is widely acclaimed for his distinguished record of scholarly & activist work on not only international law but also human rights, especially the rights of Palestinians. Prof. Quigley is the author of a number of frequently cited publications, including Palestine and Israel: A Challenge to Justice (Duke UP, 1990) and The Ruses for War: American Interventionism Since World War II (Prometheus Press, 1992). Prof. Quigley's talk will clarify the burning legal and political issues of the day, as the USA becomes more deeply involved in its indefinite and expanding war on Afghanistan and beyond.
