ANC fears union plot to launch rival party

South Africa's ruling movement claims it faces 'systematic assault' from ultra-leftists

What's up with this is that the neo-liberal/nationalist ANC are being challenged on a few issues by their alliance partners, inevitably. What is amusing is the desciption of a very conservative left as "ultra-left". You see, some of the ANC come from a background where this kind of worn out Leninist language constituted about 75% of their working vocabulary. So now anyone who does not toe the standard neoliberal line is branded as an ultra-leftist - this is because the gentlemen in new suits have a very limited vocabulary and stock of political insults. What can we expect next? The old Stalinists themselves being referred to as "infantile"?!!!

The SACP ultra-leftist? Jasus! The ironies of this unholy alliance as it unravels should be hugely savoured.
