Excerpt from the report in the Observer:

>Its insane politics have propelled numerous attacks and armed
>stand-offs over the past eight years, culminating in the carnage at
>Oklahoma. Now the anthrax investigation is zooming in on possible
>connections between these neo-Nazis and Arab extremists, united by
>their mutual anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel. Such alliances have
>been common among neo-Nazis in Europe, but have played a lesser role
>in the US. However, monitoring of the hate groups shows they are now
>embracing al-Qaeda's terrorism as commendable attacks on the federal
>government.

I wouldn't over-do the possible links between far right racialist groups and OBL here. Suffice to say that events like 9-11 always bring the weirdos out of the woodwork. OBL and the smarter terror networks know that one of the best ways to function is to stay uninfiltrated.

There is interestingly enough a link between Aryan mythology and Afghanistan. That part of the world has been 'theorized' to be the cradle of the Indo-Europeans. The largest ethnic group there, the Pashtuns, do speak an Indo-European language (as do Iranians).

The Nazis had an interest in this. There are parts of Afghanistan where the people look very Northern European. I highly doubt such nonsense much interests OBL or the Taliban, though.
