If it's to get anywhere, the rational left has to operate separately from the WWP types. Find enough people w/shared agreement on something constructive and then just do it. Don't have open meetings and award equal voting rights to every ditz who walks in. You'll always be outvoted, or your meet will be disrupted.

This does not mean excluding communists, since I expect there are some who would be valuable coalition partners. But it does mean excluding the ones who end up excluding everyone else, given half a chance.

Carl, I dont know what your background is, but I totally disagree with this. The problem in a lot of cases (and this dates back to my first political involvements as a student during the anti-apartheid movement here in the US) these vanguardist groups will keep the Principles of Unity at a level that allows them to stay in charge of the movement. Whenever anybody raises objections, the whining vanguard butt-whipes yell, "Sectarian"..
