Hello All,

There have been several messages the past couple of days about what south asian organizations can do, concerns about how to respond to the harrassment and threats the community is experiencing... Although this is short notice, perhaps some of you can come to this meeting tomorrow. Please post to other organizations in the city.

Brecht Forum is organizing a meeting tomorrow at 1 PM to discuss what people are doing/can do and want to do to respond to the WTC tragedy and its aftermath. Various organizations and interested individuals are invited to participate -- to share what they have been doing (for example, DRUM's work setting up a hotline, outreach to Gurudwaras and so on), get additional support and help from other organizations/individuals, decide on new outreach and educational efforts....

This is NOT a public meeting or a teach-in to analyze the tragedy and events as such, but is a meeting for organizations and individuals to coordinate and work together on how progressive organizations can respond to the events unfolding.

MEETING: September 15 Saturday 1 to 3 PM AT: 122 West 27th Street (b/w 6 and 7 Avenue) Trains A and C to 34th or 1 and 9 to 28th St. Phone: 212-242-4201
