ABC interviewed my congresswoman, Barbara Lee, (the only holdout on the War declaration), and actually was quite civil. It was mostly a soundbite, of course, but there were no snide remarks in the wrapup on the order of "What a buffoon peacenik" that you'd expect. I think the "march for war" in this country is widespead, but about an inch deep - people are angry, they want someone to pay, but if given a chance to think about they are deeply conflicted.

Oh, well - I guess there's one consolation: after the coming war goes sour, I'll be able to wear a T-shirt that says "Don't blame me, I'm from the California 9th!"
