Appeal to US citizens

Please do not lose hope because you feel isolated. You are not.

The slogan "Peace and Justice" sounds by far the best compromise so far, and enables people to put a wider persective. Please we my parallel letter, "Appeal to non-US citizens" for evidence of how valuable well judged alternative perspectives may be because they will get reported in Europe even if they do not get reported in the USA.

This is vital restraints are to be put on blind US retaliation, assuming there is not time for Bush to realise that he is walking into the very trap that the terrorist laid for him.

Can someone post a report about the meeting in the New York Brecht Forum yesterday?

Best of all for European media is if progressive Peace and Justice campaigners could manage at least a weekly gathering in New York itself and best of all a vigil 24 hours a day overnight.

Why should all the spiritual and religious gestures somehow be associated with the war programme? Why should the symbols flooding the street sellers just be war symbols? It must be pitched very carefully, but people should be able to make some sort of Peace and Justice gestures.

Anything that people can safely make visual, will get multiplied round the media of the world, even if it is ignored by commercial media in the USA.

You are not alone.
