---I always get a kick out of people in the moment of some rage forgetting about the breakdown and/or uncertainty of all kinds of phenomena through utilization of the internet, including identity/geographical location/age/gender/sexuality/race/ethnicity...Half the time I write, for example, others just assume I must be in Hawaii, since, hey, the snail mail address *and* email address both have Hawaii in them. CG you've hit on it, there's no way you can tell a whole lot of things about a person via the internet. But people still delight in going ahead and assuming everything under the sun about people (like Carrol Cox has to be a woman!...).
