judith butler

On re-reading this I see that you have entirely misinterpreted my post. The post says nothing about Butler's opinions or feelings about the terrorist bombings. It is a joke, depending on the well known fact that her prose is extremely difficult and often obscure. There is no criticism of her views on the bombing or even implied criticism. However, I do wonder why it is that there seem to be no widely circulated documents that indicate what her views are. Has she not spoken out. Compare this with some other intellectuals such as Chomsky. This is an understandable emotional reaction perhaps but totally off base to put it mildly. Here is my post in its entirety:

Speaking of good writing, what has Judith Butler had to say on recent events?

Cheers, Ken Hanly

Nothing implying anything one way or another about her actual opinions. I ask what they are. Why not ask her to post something?

Cheers, Ken Hanly
