Writ Mandamus

Hi,

Conspiracist speculation leads us nowhere. McVeigh's lawyers grabbed at anything to distract from his obvious guilt. That was their job. Has Brenda forgotten that before his death McVeigh admitted his actions? There is not one shred of credible evidence tying the OKC bombing to middle east terrorists except that the target of the US government is shared by both sets of perpetrators.

Incidently, I was subpoened as an expert by the Nichols defense to help counter dubious government claims about "extremists" and reviewed thousands of pages of documents. So I have no doubt the government screwed up the investigastion.

But Brenda's post is garbage.

The Federation of American Scientists website is a terrific general resource on intelligence policy; but it is marred by the decision to include uncritical and unexplained links to dubious conspiracist articles, JFK assassination mania, and Area 51 delusions. People should complain to FAS for lending its prestige to this garbage.
