Hate the vehicle not the driver, I say.

The major problem with SUVs is that they burn huge amounts of gas and release huge amounts of pollutants. A secondary problem is that, according to the auto industry's own market research, they appeal to people looking to seal themselves off from a hostile world. But the fact that they were at the meeting suggest that maybe they're emerging from their sealed-off worlds.
