people have been accessing and archving databses of info on us in "real" life for years too, it doesn't mean that people shouldn't be concerned about the practice once they realize it.
the standard employed here is an expectation that people are somehow sprung from the head of zeus. it's a rather unfair response to someone who is now concerned about privacy issues.
