I respect the work that the Partnership does on behalf of activism, but there comfy relationship with the IAC/ANSWER has always puzzled me. A comrade who knows the lawyers in the Partnership better than I do told me that they think that there is this relationship because the IAC's methods play into the goals of the Partnership. For example, if the IAC decides to legally challenge the denial of a parade/park permit, this is something up PCJ's alley.

I've criticized their politics and their tactics. While getting a park permit is not in my bag of preferred tricks, I think that the way the IAC engages in these tactics is disruptive of other groups who use them. I may be one anarchist criticizing the IAC/ANSWER, but I know plenty of local libral and progressive activists who have similar problems. Some of these people have written me personally to thank me for raising these criticisms. They can't do it for a variety of reasons, including the fact that a few of them are public figures in the NGO wing of the anti-glob movement.

"...ironically, perhaps, the best organised dissenters in the world today are anarchists, who are busily undermining capitalism while the rest of the left is still trying to form committees."
