Sneered at by whom? For one who hates reckless attributions, this is a doozy. 25% of the population would be an enormous base. Hardcore rightwing Christians in the U.S. are about 20% of the electorate, and they're a huge mass movement. The problem with most Leninist organizations today is that they have closer to 25 members than 25% of the pop.
