Richard Gott in his book from Verso on Chavez and Venezuela, also mentions the mentoring influence over Chavez, of this Argentine fascist, Norberto Ceresole, that Falcoff here, a neo-con who has written on Popular Unity in Chile during Allende. http://www.aei.org/ra/rafalc010501.htm Falcoff>...Oddly enough, although many of his closest political associates are veterans of Venezuela's small but influential Marxist or semi- Marxist Left, the ideologue generally thought to have the greatest influence over him, Norberto Ceresole, is an Argentine fascist living in Spain.... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=Norberto+Ceresole+Hugo++Chavez Jeesh, a link to Robert Faurisson!

Though, Carlos Andres Perez and the socdem AD did give important military and diplomatic support to the FSLN prior to The Triumph of 1979 in Nicaragua, the political system that the Accion Democratica had presided over for decades had grown oligarchic and stagnant. Thus, Chavez w/other military officers earlier ciup attempt in '92. However, what minimal improvements in living standards for the lowest 80%, a Cuban style directed from above revolutionary process with all the BS of CDR's and other transmission belts, overlaid with Chavez'es demogogic, authoritarian populism, AND the frankly fascist odor of the Right-Wing of the opposition, make the continuing class/popular confrontation in Venezuela, one that I fear will result in a bloodbath, resulting in a new regime, even further from representing the needs of the poorest and lower earning sectors of the working class.
