While I'm at it, let me comment, in my current pissed-off hungover state
(it's party central in Russia right now, New Year's and Christmas), on the
butt-stupid suggestions some people on the Western left make on Russia.
International Solidarity with Workers in Russia, for instance, seems to
think the solution to the Chechen war lies in international solidarity
between the Russian and Chechen working classes. Last time I checked,
Chechnya was a tribal society living mainly off banditry. There is no
functional Chechen working class. It's like suggesting solidarity with the
working class of Somalia.

ISWoR likes to claim that David Johnson won't run them on his Russia list
because he is an apologist for the bourgeoisie. He doesn't seem to have any
problems with running stuff from the World Socialist Web Site or Green Left
Weekly. I tend to think Johnson won't run ISWoR because he knows they're
whacked out of their fucking minds.
