Nader claims that his campaign helped turn out enough progressives in Washington to elect Maria Cantwell -- and if you blame Nader for Gore losing Florida I think you have to give him credit for Cantwell winning Washington state.

He also has gotten kids on campuses interested in politics. Now it's up to the Democrats to show those kids that the Democratic Party is more than just "Republican lite."
